My mixed media found object sculptures are inspired by the works of ancient and tribal artists and architects — archetypal forms that speak a universal language. As a contemporary artist, however, I take relics of our own time — found manufactured items — and combine them with handmade paper, textured paper pulp, and paint.  I transform everyday objects into iconic abstract sculptures that are lightweight and easy to move and hang.

There is a large solo show of my work at the Gladwyne Free Library Gallery from June until mid-August and I will be giving talks on the history of paper making in the Philadelphia area. I am also offering collage workshops (open to all ages) and the work you make there will be in a show in December. The library is located at 362 Righters Mill Road, Gladwyne, PA.

  • Opening reception for my solo show is June 1 at 5:30-7:30pm.

  • History of paper talks June 17 at 6-7pm, and July 8 at 10-11am.

  • Collage workshops: June 11 at 12-1pm, June 23 at 1-2pm, July 14 at 1-2pm, and July 20 at 1-2pm.

Recently one of my sculptures was acquired by the University of Delaware Art Museum. Three of my sculptures are now in the permanent collection of West Chester University. “Vaccine: The Light at the End of the Tunnel,” is in the collection of Kati Kariko, the Nobel Prize winning pioneer in MRNA research that led to the Covid vaccine. “Steinway Mandala”is in the collection of The Curtis Institute of Music.
